EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years old by the start of the program.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
TABE Test: A qualifying score on the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) is mandatory. This test assesses placement in reading and math. Employer Requirements: All trainees must meet individual hiring requirements set by their employers, which may include:

Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are essential. One year of customer service experience is preferred, but internships, participation in high school healthcare career programs, or prior entry-level healthcare roles such as CNA are also valuable.
Basic Computer/Keyboarding Skills: MAs perform clerical tasks like updating and managing electronic health records (EHR). Some roles may also involve processing payments and insurance information.
